Holly Hunter was an American actress who became famous in the film Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. Holly Hunter won many awards and awards, among them the Oscar for her role in the film Piano. Her career began as an actress on Broadway as well as Off Broadway. Since her childhood, she performed Helen Keller in a play during the 5th grade. She became deaf in one ear due to the mumps virus, however she did not permit this to deter the determination of her to become an actor. The college she attended was drama before moving between Pittsburgh to New York City to follow her dreams. Hunter made her Broadway debut due to a chance encounter and Beth Henley, a playwright. Together, they wrote on Broadway Crimes of the Heart. She relocated to Los Angeles and tried to land films roles. The film, Swing Shift, she landed an appearance as a supporting character. She has since appeared in a variety of shows and TV films over a career spanning more than three decades. Holly Hunter won a star at the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and also her Women in Film Lucy Award.
